 BARLEYGREEN  with BARLEYLIFE From Barleygreen to BarleyLifeIn 1982 Dennis Itami, Ron Wright and Jim Kling started a company called American Image Marketing (AIM) and began telling everyone about Barleygreen - a green powder made from the juice of barley leaves. Working diligently AIM Members spread the word about Barleygreen for the next twenty years to thousands across north American and around the world. If you heard about Barleygreen in the 80's or 90's it was because of an AIM Member or customer. However in the mid to late 1990's Barleygreen users found that they had to use more and more of this green powder to see the results they had previously learned to appreciate. Because of this AIM created a database to track Member and customer feedback. The results were alarming and sent AIM on a mission to start over and make a higher quality and more affordable barley juice powder. Through extensive research, divine connections and a number of witty inventions AIM succeeded in creating the highest quality lowest cost barley juice powder available. With a commitment to constantly making BarleyLife better AIM invested in advance processing technology which has resulted in what we believe is the best tasting barley juice powder available. This was done while maintaining and actually improving BarleyLife's tremendous nutritional density. Thousands of AIM Members have excitedly said yes to AIM BarleyLife and goodbye to AIM Barleygreen and are seeing better results. It is important to recognize that BarleyLife is grown in environmentally clean areas of New Zealand & northern Canada. Our previous barley juice product was grown in California. A large portion of California has serious ground water contamination issues with chemicals like perchlorate (rocket fuel, used to make explosives etc). Organic certification has not required that the water be free from perchlorate. Perchlorate is a hot issue because it absorbs into the plants from contaminated irrigation water and is then concentrated in leaves of the plant. Concentration of pollutants is especially important to consider with green juice powders as it takes about 30 pounds of barley grass to make one pound of barley juice powder - an additional concentration of 30-to-1. This concentration of barley juice nutrients would also tend to concentrate pollutants in the powder if the grass has even low levels of these contaminants. Not only is the area where BarleyLife is grown and manufactured free from these contaminants, our organic fields in northern Canada are watered only by rainfall - not requiring water to be pumped from the ground. Air pollution from automobiles and industry is comparatively non-existent in the areas where BarleyLife is grown. A special tribute to Dr Yoshihide Hagiwara for his tremendous contributions in scientific research and development that led to the creation of barley juice powder.
